My
wife and I were guest of KKNG Radio at the Wormy Dog 10/12/06.
This was not our first time to see Tracy Byrd. We
have been fans of his music since he first began recording...I
guess you might say the Byrds have to stick together.
Bill and Emma Kay Byrd living in Edmond, OK have had opportunity
see Tracy continue to produce great music through some 12 years.
We first saw Tracy at a small Dance Hall in Marlow called
Rusty Spur. It has since closed and now is a church.
Since then we have seen him play at Rodeos, and other Dance
Halls.
While at the concert we got acquainted with Edna and Glenn
Coonrod who as you know are Big Byrd Watchers. We had a
great time and enjoyed getting to visit with Tracy and the
Coonrods.
Tracy and Derek Sholl at the Wormy Dog Saloon in Oklahama City Date: 15 Oct 2006
Just want you to know that we met up with some very dedicated Tracy Byrd fans at the Wormy Dog in Oklahoma City last Thursday 12 Oct 06. They were Glenn & Edna Coonrod from Kansas City. As you can see my husband and me were able to have a meet & greet with Tracy. (Photo posted on Fan Photo Page) This was the first time for us to see him and we had a wonderful time. Edna & Glenn had a great time also. They were really great people. Derek Sholl opened for Tracy and he put on a great show as well.
Update on Bubba & Karne Date: 4 Oct 2006
Hey everybody, hope you are having a great weekend. Bubba went to the Dr last Friday and got a fairly good report. The Dr said he believed Bubba's shoulder blade has healed fairly well and what has been able to heal on it's own in his knee is doing so. He will start pt this week for his shoulder, around the rotator cuff area to start strengthening it so he can have surgery on his knee. A very good report. We are very happy. He doesn't have to use the sling for his arm anymore. He will continue to use the brace on his knee when he is away from the house.

Comments: Hey Everybody, we wanted to give you the
latest news. We found out today, July 28, that Bubba will be
having surgery on his left knee. The Doctor is doing a few
more tests before it's scheduled. His left shoulder blade will
heal in time according to the dr. His road rash is healing
more and more each day. My ankle is doing better, I am now
having to wear an ankle brace on my left ankle and my knee is
healing slowly. We wanted to thank all of you for all your
prayers. Also I want to thank Barbara Morgan and Matt Woodyard
for heading up the benefit. Thanks to Selina for
everything and for this website. I will keep you all

I just got off the phone with Britt and he wanted me to let all of you know some, not so good news. Karen and Bubba were in Nashville for some function on their new motorcycle and as they were riding someone pulled out of a side road and they t-boned the vehicle. They were both Lifelined to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN and are still there. Bubba has a "messed up left shoulder and left leg" and Karen has pretty serious bruising and lacerations from where she hit the pavement. He asked that we keep them in our prayers. Comments: Many of you have been writing asking about Bubba and Karen. Sunday July 9 Bubba called me and explained that they did have an accident on Friday July 7 in Tennessee. They had gone there on a little vacation on their new motorcycle. They had an accident with an SUV and were thrown from their bike and were air lifted to the local hospital. Bubba suffered a broken left shoulder and messed his left knee up pretty badly. Karen also hurt her left knee and her ankle as well. They are out of the hospital now and told me that they were going to head home when they felt better. I will be in touch to see how you both are feeling. Comments: My husband (active-duty Army) and I saw Tracy
Byrd in concert at Ft. Monroe, Virginia sometime between 2002 and 2004
sponsored by the Army post. It was an open-post event and Tracy
played outside to a huge crowd. It was an awesome performance!

help some here. Bubba Moore and Britt Godwin both have gotten
married and are working non musical full time jobs. Both are
very happy. Also though they both still are involved in music
very much. They play in bands locally in their hometown and are
having a ball. Britt is very much involved in the
"Standards" type of music as well. He has put together
a cd and has got a band together to play this type of music and will
someday be taking it on the road to bigger things. Check

Marc Matoska has been working with various other artists in music and on the road. He is always busy.
I have not talked to Randy Dennis in a long while but I have heard that he and his wife have another baby and are doing very well. I was told that he also plays some in a local band. Would love to hear from Randy to hear how they are doing!!!!

that Karen and I made it thru Rita . Most of the damage in our area
was from fallen trees, a pine tree about 90 ft. tall missed our home
by only 7 ft. We went to central Louisiana to ride it out.

fired! Unbelievable, what was Tracy thinking?? Marc’s
is such a nice person and a real pleasure to be around, and he would
do anything in his power for the fans. Everything he did

year from long time band members being fired, to Tracy loosing his
record deal, etc., Marc was the reason so many of the fans were

Comments: Its true Marc was fired!!!!! We
will sure miss him.....he did everything for us....from giving us
tickets, meet and greet passes (sometimes up to 25 at a
time...when they played our home town), to all access passes and
letting my son and his friend sit at the sound board during a
concert. I remember the old days before Marc. We will
surrely miss him!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope Tracy knows what he is
doing!! Marc was the best tour manager in the business.
He never turned away a fan...he was great at P.R. The fans
loved him. We know he will go far........There have been toooo
many firings of the band!!!!!

Comments: Hello there Everyone, I am sorry to say
that one of Tracy's long time Fans, Virginia Harvey passed away on
Saturday September 17th. She had taken a fall.
Glenn and Edna Coonrod went to her viewing and in the room the only
music playing was Tracy's. There were also some photos in
there of her and Tracy. Her adult children said to Glenn that
their Mom really loved Tracy and enjoyed going to see him. She

September 17th!! Played for 2 hours! Trace Adkins was suppose to be
there too but was hospitalized with emergency surgery for an appy!

I don't know where the time has gone! I'll never forget the
first concert I attended almost 10 years ago. It was at the
Appalachian Fair Grounds in Gray, TN. It was a great show. I was
hooked from the start! I attended several shows after that. I am

Comments: Hey I got a phone call from some friends, Glenn and Edna from Missouri and they went to the Bob Kingsley Cutting last night in Ft. Worth. They had been to see Tracy last week and Tracy had told them that he was planning on winning that Trophy at the Cutting. Well he did it!!! I understand that the artists were teamed up in pairs and that Tracy was teamed up with Bob Kingsley. Well the boys won!!!!! Then after the cutting there was a concert. Clay Walker, Heidi (from Trick Pony) and Tracy sang together for about 2 hours. The only Tracy song that they sang was Watermelon Crawl. The rest were classics and songs from other people. Pictures will be coming soon. I sure bet that was an awesome night. Sure wish I could have been there.

Hello, I was told about your website by Glen and Edna from Missouri. I recently met them while waiting in line at a county fair in Iowa. Since then I have seen them once or twice more. A few years ago I realized I owned five Byrd CD's. I starting listening to all of them all in a row one day. Soon I knew he was my favorite. Then I started to wait for him to appear in my area. In 2002 I did my own "Tracy Byrd Tour", seeing him six times that summer. Last year I saw Tracy several more times, once traveling as far as Fort Worth, Texas. This year I have seen him five times with eight more concerts if everything goes as planned. Finally at the Bowling Green, Missouri, concert I did my first meet and greet. I decided to wear a University of Iowa tee-shirt to each concert hoping that Tracy would start to recognize me in the audience. At each meet and greet I plan to have him sign my shirt. This past week in National, Iowa at the meet and greet Tracy right away said "hey, Iowa is back". Later this month I will be doing some serious road miles in order to see Tracy two nights in a row. I had already purchased tickets to see Tracy in Princeton, Illinios, then he added a Sioux City, Iowa date onto his calendar. Now I must see him in Sioux City because I vowed never to miss an Iowa performance, then six hours across state and one hour into Illinios to see him in Princeton the next night. Good thing my seats are reserved in Princeton so I don't have to be there by noon in order to get in line like most county fairs!

Comments: We attended the concert last night, July 31, and were very disappointed with the new sound. Loud Noise is the best way to describe it. Tracy's voice and performance ability has not changed or been altered, but the new band is not a change for the better. We sat by some of his faithful followers and they were not pleased either.
