Update on Bubba & Karne Date: 4 Oct 2006

Hey everybody, hope you are having a great weekend. Bubba went to the Dr last Friday and got a fairly good report. The Dr said he believed Bubba's shoulder blade has healed fairly well and what has been able to heal on it's own in his knee is doing so. He will start pt this week for his shoulder, around the rotator cuff area to start strengthening it so he can have surgery on his knee. A very good report. We are very happy. He doesn't have to use the sling for his arm anymore. He will continue to use the brace on his knee when he is away from the house.

Good morning everyone. An update on how the benefit turned out. First I want to thank all of you for helping and supporting Bubba and I. All of you that attended and worked at the benefit, thank you so much. We are truly blessed to have such good friends to give up their day for us. If we can ever do anything to help any of you, please let us know. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Bubba Moore and his wife Karen were in a bad motorcycle accident.
(If the name sounds familiar and you can't place him, Bubba was Tracy Byrd's bass player for a long time) Sweet People.
Anyway, Karen is recovering, still battling the injury to her knee and ankle. Bubba's injuries are more severe. He has hurt his arm and shoulder, and he has a torn ACL that they are going to repair with surgery after his shoulder and arm heal so he can be on crutches. Long story short- he may be out of work for as long as eight months.
There is going to be a benefit for Bubba and Karen at the Vidor VFW Hall on Sunday August 20th starting at Noon. Local musicians are playin', and there will be BBQ and an Auction.
Will you or do you know people who will donate items for the auction? It doesn't matter the size of the item, they are auctioning off some big items, and some smaller items in a silent auction. Your donation would really be appreciated! Let me know!
If you are going to be here on the 20th, please come out!
Great music and food, and already in the auction: Tracy Byrd is sending a box of things to auction, and I hear George Strait's people are too, which is great. Crockett Street and Wild Bills are donating some tickets to upcoming shows, Tracy, Mark, and Zona are sending a Labor Day Fest package, Conns is donating some items... KYKR is doing a giveaway package, and we need more items to add to this list!!
I'll give you updates as we get closer, and of course we'll be talking about it on the air, so listen for details, and I sure would appreciate your help! Chrissie

Monday, August 7. Update on Bubba

He goes back in 3 weeks to see how well the shoulder blade is healing. It has to be completely healed before knee surgery, because he will be on crutches. Once the knee surgery is done it will take at least 6 months for a complete recovery. So, we are looking at quite a while yet.

Sorry guys, I forgot to tell all of you, that they did an Xray of Bubba's lft elbow, and he has a chipped piece there also. Dr said not to worry about that right now. Main thing is to get the shoulder well, so he can do the surgery on his knee. I had forgotten about that. sorry

Hey Everybody, we wanted to give you the latest news. We found out today, July 28, that Bubba will be having surgery on his left knee. The Doctor is doing a few more tests before it's scheduled. His left shoulder blade will heal in time according to the dr. His road rash is healing more and more each day. My ankle is doing better, I am now having to wear an ankle brace on my left ankle and my knee is healing slowly. We wanted to thank all of you for all your prayers. Also I want to thank Barbara Morgan and Matt Woodyard for heading up the benefit. Thanks to Selina for everything and for this website. I will keep you all updated on our progress. Bubba & Karen

Hello everyone. We wanted to give you an update. We are at home recovering from our accident. Considering what happened we are very lucky. Our injuries range from a sprang ankle to a broken scapula(shoulder blade) to bruising and road rash. We want to thank you for all your concern and prayers, and especially to Selina for posting this. Hey Selina thanks again for the cards. We are hoping for a speedy recovery.

Many of you have been writing asking about Bubba and Karen. Sunday July 9 Bubba called me and explained that they did have an accident on Friday July 7 in Tennessee. They had gone there on a little vacation on their new motorcycle. They had an accident with an SUV and were thrown from their bike and were air lifted to the local hospital. Bubba suffered a broken left shoulder and messed his left knee up pretty badly. Karen also hurt her left knee and her ankle as well. They are out of the hospital now and told me that they were going to head home when they felt better. I will be in touch to see how you both are feeling. Let's send our thoughts and prayers out to them. We love you Bubba and Karen and wish you both well! Take care!! Selina

BUBBA & KAREN'S WEDDING Date: 06 Jun 2005
Hey Selina, wanted to give you and some of the fans the good news. Bubba & I were recently wed this past Saturday, June 4th. It was a triple wedding with my two best friends also getting married. It was a very special day. We were surrounded by family and friends to celebrate with us on our special day. Bubba & Karen Moore.....

Well Bubba's not driving for Tracy anymore, as of a few months ago. He has decided to get off the road. He is enjoying his new adventure of Air Conditioning and Heating. He has extensive experience in this field from years past. I spoke with him a few weeks ago and he said that he and Karen are really enjoying spending lots more time together and just enjoying life. We are all happy for you too Bubba but we will all sure miss seeing you!!! You will be greatly missed.
