Carol went down to the local Ford Dealer the day after Christmas to see Tracy.  Every year around the holidays he goes and does some promotional work / Commercials  for the Dealer.  Here Carol caught Tracy taking a break, so he visited a little bit with her and the others that dropped by to say hello.   Great photos Carol,  thanks so much for sharing them with us.

Tracy was back again to entertain the Bullriders and guests at their PBR Bull Riding Finals After-party on Oct 29, 2006, held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He always does an awesome show there.  The bull riders seem to just love to see Tracy come back and bring down the house for them..  It is always a great time.  Stephanie from Colorado was there, not only is she a huge Tracy fan but also a huge bull riding fan. So for her this vacation was an extra special treat.  Thanks Stephanie for sending in the photos and story to share with us.  Her photo with Tracy is on the Fan Photo page. Here is what she had to say about all the fun she had....

"He sang the national anthem at the beginning of Round 3 (did an awesome job of it) and then came out to sit just in front and to my left in the VIP section during the last 10 rides.  I had a hard time watching the PBR bull riding at the right and trying to keep an eye on Tracy to the left!! What a dilemma, especially since I'm such a big bull riding fan and it was the ten top riders--but this was Tracy."
"They seemed to have quite a few tables set up for the After Party show, so I didn't have any problems getting a seat right up front when the doors opened.  Justin McBride (2005 World PBR Champ) introduced Tracy, and then it didn't matter about seating.  The moment I saw that a few people were heading for the front of the stage, that's where I went.  He probably had about 3 rows worth of people just mingling around the front of the stage, but nicely spaced so there was no pushing and lots of elbow room.  He did his normal set, but then included "Heaven in My Woman's Eyes" that Justin McBride had requested he sing.  I was surprised that he didn't included "Ordinary Man" in the set, he normally does when he's playing for a rodeo crowd.  He didn't do an encore either though.  Still awesome show. "
"Anyhow, I'm sending a couple of shots I took.  Some of them I took in black and white and a couple of others I took in sepia.  I have so many of him in color that I just did that for a change of pace.  Playing around a bit."

Take care,  Stephanie

Where:  Pahrump Nevada Fall Festival        When:  Thursday, September 28, 2006        Who:  Tracy of course!!!

Well we made it back home from a long weekend in Las Vegas, didn't win any money jackpots but got to go see Tracy!!!!! Now that's a jackpot!!! The show was at the Pahrump Fall Festival. Pahrump is a very small town about an hour drive outside of Las Vegas.  Tracy played in the rodeo arena and I was told over and over that he was the biggest thing that has ever came to Pahrump. Everyone there was nice and very friendly, even all the security and there were lots of them. There were many people in line for the meet and greet but I didn't see anyone except us from the fan club, with the laminates. I think most were local folks. The meet and greet was really fun, not rushed and very relaxed. Tracy was just a sweet as ever!  He seemed to be having a fun time with everyone.

When he came on stage he sang many of his new songs from the upcoming album and of course his hits. The crowd loved him, they yelled, screamed and clapped smile.gif . Many shouted "We love you Tracy". It was so nice to see the welcome reception! Tracy and the boys just did an awesome job. He really puts so much feeling into those new songs. I can't wait for the cd to come out.  My favorites are Saltwater Cowboy and Hot Night in the Country, but then again I just really like them all. He seems to get a lot of hoots and hollers when singing Saltwater Cowboy, I noticed. For his encore he did about 4 or 5 songs more. It was really a great show!!!  Thank you Tracy for the Wonderful time!!!

Here is Billy with all his fans.  After the show all these kids wanted drum sticks and really enjoyed Billy, so of course he was happy to help out.  Notice all the sticks!

Stephanie Busch took these photos at the Summer concerts she went too.  Thanks Stephanie for sharing with us all the fun!!!

The first two pictures (with the black Merle shirt) where taken on the 30th of June in Ft. Collins, CO at the Aggie Theater.  Just a little place in a college town.

The 3rd and 4th photos were taken the following day in Falcon, CO at the Falcon Freedom Days.  It started out a beautiful day, but in about 3 pm a thunderstorm came through and really chilled the place out.  I think Tracy and band were the warmest, they had jackets with them!!

Thanks Tammy for sending in these great photos of the concerts that you attended this summer.  You are so right, there is lots of fun going to see Tracy and the band.   Below is message from Tammy and the great photos.      Selina

I just thought that I would share some photos with you from the concerts that we attended recently.  We saw the show in St. Joseph, MO on 5/30/06 and got to go to the Meet & Greet with Tracy, which was great…that is the first photo.  The rest of the photos are from the concert that we attended in Warrensburg, MO on 7/27/06.  There are a couple of Tracy and some of the band members.  There is also one that we got to take with Phil and James before the show got started.  We had a great time at both places and are going to try and make the Lincoln, NE concert in September.

We had such a great time…thanks to Tracy and his music for the memories of our Tracy Byrd concert road trips…and more to come!!

Stephanie Busch is the lucky one that went to see the famous Rat Pack Show February 22, 2006 in Arizona, Starring Tracy, along with his buddies Blake Shelton and Andy Griggs.  She said this was an awesome time.  If you ever get to see one of these shows, don't miss it.  They are the most fun!  You will laugh your head off!  Thanks Stephanie for sharing the wonderful photos.

US 95.7 Radio (San Diego, CA) celebrates their Second Anniversary Show Monday February 6, 2006, Starring Tracy Byrd, Miranda Lambert, Legend; Ronnie Milsap and Andy Griggs.  Joe Nichols was supposed to be there but he got sick and couldn't make it, so Tracy called up his buddy Andy Griggs and he was pleased to step in.  This is Tracy and Andy's second time to do this special celebration.  Last year they were here starring with LeeAnn Womack.  What a blast this was!  Just to get to hear the stars and their guitars you might say.  What wonderful voices!  Tracy's wife Michelle joined him this year.  What a pleasure it was to get to see her again.  It has been so long. If you want to see the photos that the radio station took, visit www.us95.7.com and go to their photo gallery.  I hope you enjoy these photos of all the artists that join in this year.

Kris & Tony the Morning DJ's called Michelle on stage, it seems that she had been counting how many beer's Tracy had been drinking through out the show.  When asked how many did he drink, Michelle held up 10 fingers.  She told Tracy "You'll have to go 10 Rounds with me later"  The crowd just burst out into laughter and roared.  That was really cute!

Saw Cristy in San Diego and she sent in her photos to share with us also.  Great Shots!!! Thanks Cristy!!!!

Awesome Concert Review written by Barbara Morgan

February 4, 2006

Anticipation was noticeable from the moment the multi-colored lights whisking across the room and the distant sound of a lonesome train moving closer preceded the entrance of Recording Artist Tracy Byrd’s stage appearance.  The large country music-loving audience let out a roar at the “World’s Largest Honky Tonk” in Fort Worth, Texas in expectation of the show they knew would be exciting.  It has been a tradition for Tracy to play at Billy Bob’s Texas and many fans were returning from his last show at BB’s in April of 2005.

Wearing a blue and tan plaid western shirt, traditional Texas-style starched jeans and a favorite cowboy hat and brown ostrich boots, Tracy welcomed the Texas crowd, then immediately kicked off his first set with the well-known, “Watermelon Crawl” as the charged crowd sang along with the chorus.  He quickly went into the next number, his first #1 hit, “Holdin’ Heaven” to which the band provided nice background vocals and lead guitar collaboration.

He continued to please the crowd with some of his Top 5 releases, “(Don’t Take Her) She’s All I’ve Got” and the smooth emotion-filled ballad, “I Wanna Feel That Way Again.”

Tracy stopped for a moment to poll the throng of cowboys and cowgirls about what would be on everyone’s mind the next day - the Superbowl!  He asked them which team they thought would win (Seattle Seahawks or Pittsburgh Steelers), but it was apparent the interest was far greater for the music of the moment than the game that most Texans didn’t really relate to this year.

Band leader, Johnny Lee Carpenter jumped into a well-executed solo lead-in for the suitably written Top 10 ballad, “Just Let Me Be In Love,” a favorite of couples in the gathering.  Tracy then lured the room back into the party mood with the enjoyable, “Drinking Bone” that hit home with many from the Fort Worth crowd.  He brought the couples back to the dance floor next with, Love Lessons,” a sensual ballad that spoke to the heart and was also the title of Tracy’s 3rd album.

The next two songs were played back to back as sort of his and hers songs that had the sexes pointing fingers and naming names as they recognized points about each other and laughed and sang along.  The first was, “Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman,” which should have any man a little more than worried if he is thinking about doing his woman “wrong.”  The second was an endorsement of the average guy, “The Truth About Men” which was amusing and touted the words, “We ain’t wrong, we ain’t sorry, and we’re probably going to do it again.”

The second set began with the reflective, “Tiny Town,” a number that seemed to be particularly meaningful to Tracy as he sang about small town life that most folks can relate to.  The title song “Big Love” which was also the title for his 4th album and his 3rd gold record was next.  Lots of folks were singing as well as dancing to “Big Love.”  The band immediately went into the “First Step (is the Two Step)” which kept them on the dance floor.  Excellent solos on stage had the crowd engrossed and thrilled as the band went from musician to musician playing a highlighted segment of the tune.

Another tune that seemed to be close to the heart of this singer was “Put Your Hand in Mine,” about an emotional farewell between a father and son.   Tracy connected with the crowd as he walked from corner to corner of the stage singing this one.   He also mentioned it was on his “Greatest Hits” album.

Tracy introduced the band at this point and the guest fiddle player from the area.  He completed the set with a two-step favorite, “Cowgirl” and one he introduced from his latest album, “She’s Smart” that superbly highlighted a smoking fiddle solo and guitar duet.  This was followed by a classic from his early days, “Heartbroke” and was followed by the original rendition of his most memorable ballad, “Keeper of the Stars.”

Changing pace with a tequila-drinking song, “Ten Rounds” had the crowd jumping and singing along with this honky-tonk favorite and was quickly followed by another recognizable Top 3 hit, “I’m From the Country” that demonstrates the pride of every country boy and girl born and raised in the small towns of anywhere, USA.

He closed out the sets, thanked the crowd and left the stage, but the Fort Worth fans would not let him leave without one more song so they made enough noise to request an encore.  Tracy was to leave immediately for California, but he came back to please the throngs with one more tune and sang new song, “Running on Empty” of which the vocals and accompanying vocals were superb.

Once again Tracy thanked the crowd, tipped his hat toward heaven and bowed to the crowd and was gone.  These country fans knew they were entertained and will begin the wait until next time.

Here's another shot of that wonderful belt buckle Tracy won in the Celebrity Cutting in Dallas, Texas in December 2004.

Here is the first official show of the New Year.

All the excitement took place January 14, 2006 in Denver Colorado at the famous Grizzly Rose Saloon.  Glenn and Edna were there to celebrate Edna's birthday that very day.  Thanks you guys for sending in these photos.  We all wish we could have been there too.

Tracy wore his belt buckle that he won in the Celebrity Cutting in December 2004.
